I have already come to learn that the sun sets FAST in the Arabian desert. But I didn’t realise the moon moved just as fast.
Yesterday evening we were waiting for the traffic lights to turn green at the intersection of Al Mafraq and 331st Roads (next to the Saudi-German Hospital building site).
I looked up and noticed the moon -beautiful as it so often is here and almost a perfect semi-circle – hanging directly above the building on corner of the intersection.
By the time the lights had changed the moon had completely disappeared!
It had dropped right out of the sky before my very eyes!
